It is vital to plant Bible-believing churches and to strengthen those that remain if we hope to reach England with the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is the pattern given to us in the Scriptures. God has provided an opportunity in Jarvis Brook, Crowborough and we are asking Him to establish a strong gospel-preaching church in this area.
Please pray with us that God would give us favour as we seek to glorify and promote His name in Crowborough. Our desire is that the Chapel would always remain a pioneering work; there are always more souls to be reached. May many other churches be planted and strengthened through the influence of Jarvis Brook Baptist Chapel.
Our Beginning
The doors of Jarvis Brook Baptist Chapel were joyfully opened the afternoon of Sunday, 28 August 2022. Formerly a disused Baptist Chapel, the historic building was freely offered to the Crown Christian Heritage Trust for Gospel work. Jarvis Brook Baptist Chapel is the most recent of nine church plants established by the Crown Christian Heritage Trust.
Christian ministers and congregation members from all over the United Kingdom joined for the special opening service. The Bible message was given by Dr. Clarence Sexton, founder of the Crown College of the Bible (Tennessee, USA). Since its opening, Jarvis Brook Baptist Chapel has held weekly services as well as a children's Sunday School, and looks forward to what the Lord may have in coming days.
